X is for X
Sofia Khan is Not Obliged by Ayisha Malik
X is such a problematic letter of the alphabet, no authors names start with X, no books i've read start with X and there's hardly any words starting with X that I can relate to any good books. However after much thought it did dawn on me that X is the roman numeral for 10, and as I have read over 10 books this year (currently just finished the 14th) I've decided X is for the 10th book I read this year, which was Sofia Khan is Not Obliged by Ayisha Malik.
I listened to this as an audiobook so can't comment too much on the writing style, especially as I think based on how it sounded I may not have enjoyed to read this in prose. However this book is incredibly funny. It's about a young Muslim British girl navigating the dating scene whilst trying to juggle her work life and her family life. I found this book very real, relatable, and enjoyable.
